Now is primarily a live performance video of Prince (as ) and The NPG included on The Beautiful Experience TV-special. The live footage was shot during the 13 February 1994 (a.m.) concert at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota where Interactive and Days Of Wild were also filmed.

The live performance is interspersed with footage of Prince and The NPG singing the track (third and fourth verse) in a studio and dancers at the Glam Slam and/or Paisley Park Studios. Like in the Interactive and Days Of Wild video, there are scenes featuring Nona Gaye to make a storyline for The Beautiful Experience.

The audio of this live version was edited and included on a tape sold to some European radio networks in 1994. The studio version of Now was included on The Gold Experience released in 1995, a year and a half after the first broadcast of the video. It was not used as a promotional tool for the album.
