Miss Thang is a video by T.C. Ellis released for broadcast and to promote the single. Exact shooting date and location are unknown but it was likely shot in early 1990 at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota. The cover art for the single released in March 1991 was shot on that day. The video was directed by Prince. It is the first to feature dancer Kimberly Arland (nicknamed Kimberly Dionne by Prince) who would later appear in the Thieves In The Temple, Cream, Violet The Organ Grinder and Sexy M.F. videos. Miss Thang remained in the vault for over a year until T.C.’s album was finalized.
The video features T.C. Ellis singing the song, backed by Tony M., Kirky J. and Damon Dickson as well as two female dancers-violinists (Kimberly 'Dionne' Arland and her sister Leah Marie Haugen) and a DJ. The character and subject of the song, Miss Thang is portrayed by Vivian Rivero, who dated Prince in the late eighties and may be one of the source of inspiration for the song Pink Cashmere (see the trivia section of this song for details). The video ends with the The Game Boyz. Throughout the video, '’miss thang wanders around TC in undress and ends up covering him with underwear.
