Sexuality was the second single to be released from Prince’s fourth album Controversy.
The single was released in West Germany, Japan and Australia only, in mid October, around the time the album was released in the USA (on 14 October 1981). In the rest of the world the album was not released until four weeks later.
The album version of the title track was used as the A-side. The B-side, Controversy, was also taken from the album.
The single failed to enter the charts in any of the territories it was released in.
