Purple Medley was a stand-alone single (not connected to an album) by Prince, released in March 1995 to coincide with Prince’s European The Ultimate Live Experience tour (as  ) (on the same day in Europe as The Sacrifice Of Victor and The Undertaker home videos).
It received a release in the USA, the UK, and mainland Europe. Both the a-side (in edited and extended forms) and the b-side were medleys containing clips or re-recordings of several Prince songs (see the song entries for details).
The single reached number 84 on the US Billboard Hot 100 Chart, and number 74 on the Billboard Hot R&B Singles Chart. It fared much better in the UK, where its release coincided with the beginning of The Ultimate Live Experience tour, reaching number 33 on the Gallup Singles Chart.
