I Feel For You (Acoustic Demo) was a single released posthumously without advance notice, on 18 October 2019, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Prince album (released 19 October 1979). The a-side was a previously-unknown home recording of the track I Feel For You, recorded in Winter 1978/1979, with some alternate lyrics that were changed for the later studio recordings. The b-side was the album version of the song, taken from the Prince album. On the day of release, the single was available for download/streaming. It was also made available to pre-order, for a limited period of 7 days, as a limited edition 7" purple vinyl release through Prince.com, with delivery announced as expected in January 2020.
