Rowdy Mac is the eighth and final track on the Fonky Bald Heads album The Self Titled Album (although there is a hidden track included after some silence, included within the same track markers). The song is co-written by Kirk Johnson (who played in the band) and Prince, and was released on their album at the same time Fonky Bald Heads were supporting Prince on the Hit N Run Tour.
While specific recording dates are not known, basic tracking likely took place in 2000 or early 2001 at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota.
