• 1987 – Prince attends David Bowie’s concert at the St. Paul Civic Center. A private screening of the Sign O’ The Times film was held in a rented Minneapolis theatre for Bowie and his camp. Afterwards, there was a party at Paisley Park Studios for Bowie’s group of people
• 1988 – At the 7th Annual Minnesota Black Music Awards, Prince is awarded Best Video for Alphabet St. & Best Male R&B Vocalist
• 2006 – At the 25th Minnesota Music Awards, Prince is awarded Song Of The Year for Black Sweat
