It’s About That Walk is the second track on Prince’s 22nd album The Vault... Old Friends 4 Sale, and, around the time of the album’s release, It’s About That Walk was available as a promo release in Europe.

Basic tracks were recorded on 2 September 1993 at Guillaume Tell, Suresnes, France (the day after the second and final Paris concert of the Act II tour, on the same day as some unknown recordings with French actress/singer Ophélie Winter).

Although the song was recorded three months after Prince changed his name to , the release is credited to Prince, and so it is credited as such here.
