I Will is the ninth track on Prince’s 18th album Chaos And Disorder, the second album credited to  .
While exact recording dates are not known, basic tracking took place in February 1996, at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota (during the same set of sessions as Into The Light, which may have been recorded in sequence in one session, although this is unconfirmed). Shortly before its inclusion on Chaos And Disorder, I Will was placed as the ninth track of the second disc (twentieth song) on a March/April 1996 configuration of Emancipation.
In 2008, an acoustic version was recorded for the Songwriter project. Both the album and this new version remain unreleased.
