| Blankman is the soundtrack album to the movie Blankman, containing the song Super Hero, by the New Power Generation featuring The Steeles, written by Prince.
Sessions and compiling
Although the recording used of this track was from May-June 1994 (after Prince’s name change to ), the track was originally written and recorded in 1992 and given to Earth, Wind & Fire for their Millennium album where the credits refer to him as Prince. A third version of the song was recorded later in 1994 and included on a December 1994 configuration of Exodus. This last version remain unreleased.
Promotion
The album produced one single, Super Hero, released on the same day as the album. The album did not enter the charts, however.
